M&A and ownership

Creating sustainable and long-term value is a cornerstone of what we offer our clients. Advisory work related to non-organic strategy is therefore an integral part of our business. We believe that there is much more to M&A than the acquisition process alone, and we therefore take a long-term approach to both developing M&A opportunities and ensuring the value creation levers are genuinely realized through integration- and post-merger work.

Our M&A engagements are often a continuation of an assignment related to group or corporate strategy, market-entry assessment, or competitor analysis. We have successfully supported our longstanding clients within an array of industries in M&A engagements in our home market and across the globe in areas such as Southern Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. Our teams have identified, evaluated and executed non-organic growth opportunities in competitive auctions. They have often enabled our clients to achieve proprietary processes by leveraging our firm’s extensive and international industrial network, as well as by investing in building long-term and trust-based relationships across the sectors in which we work most actively.

Our consulting work within M&A focuses on three main areas: non-organic growth and owner strategies; vendor- and commercial due diligence work; and post-merger integration. Other more focused assignments include synergy analysis, acquisition process development, joint ventures/alliances, spin-offs and owner reviews.
