Timo joined VALOR in October 2023. Before joining VALOR, Timo worked for a long time in various management positions in social and healthcare in both the private and public sectors. Timo has extensive experience in the private sector, having co-founded Terveystalo Kamppi, Finland’s largest private medical center-hospital, been responsible for residential care units for the elderly, home care and an outsourced health center at Mehiläinen, served as a regional manager in Oral’s oral health care division, and worked as a director of diagnostics company Synlab and as CEO of Solo Health Oy. Timo’s career also includes two and a half years’ experience as CEO of the social and health district Eksote, so he is also familiar with the public sector.

In Timo’s view, it’s the implementation that counts! Without concreteness, there will be no result, and the most important thing, the patient and/or client, must not be forgotten. Timo always reminds us of the importance of leadership and frontline work. Without good and systematic management, it is difficult to achieve results. Timo also has experience of entrepreneurship and SME development.

Outside the office
Timo is an avid sports fan, like so many other VALOR members. Timo is an active tennis, padel and badminton player. He also enjoys outdoor sports and occasionally visits the gym. Timo is also a keen bench athlete and can be found in the stands at various sports competitions. Timo also serves on the board of Lappeen Ravirata, and actively following races is also one of Timo’s hobbies.
