About Kimmo
Kimmo started as a Senior Advisor at VALOR in 2022. He has a strong change management profile with fifteen years’ experience on large companies’ executive boards (VR, Finnair). Kimmo is very interested in HRD and coaching.
Expertise
Kimmo has comprehensive experience of the aviation and rail business and especially from fleet lifecycle management and overhaul.
Examples of recent assignments:
- Incorporation of Finnish Railways maintenance and overhaul function into a separate company
- Heavy maintenance and modernization of Helsinki City subway fleet 2020–2022
- Piloting role in real time data-based maintenance and IOT in rail fleet
Education
MSc in Aeronautical Engineering, Helsinki University of Technology. Also Leadership Competences Program (Squeezed MBA), IMD Lausanne.
Outside the office
Kimmo has a wife, two adult daughters and one grandchild. Besides spending time with his family, he is a sportsman. His favorite sports are golf, floorball, tennis and skiing.
