Jari joined the VALOR team at the beginning of April 2026. He has more than three decades of experience in the forest industry, leading various independent businesses and serving as a member of the Group Management Team. Prior to joining VALOR, he served as an independent consultant for several different clients in strategic projects related to the forest industry and wood construction.
Expertise
Jari has extensive experience in the forest industry, where he has managed, for example, forest ownership, wood sourcing, sawn and wood products business, wood construction, and paper and pulp manufacturing. In addition, matters related to energy and infrastructure, as well as M&A, have also been part of his responsibilities.
Before taking on business responsibility, Jari worked as a CFO for about ten years, so he also knows the financial side. He is interested in strategy and business development, but also in putting them into practice and thus ensuring customer results and value creation.

Jari has a Master’s degree in Economics from Vaasa. Since then, he has continued his education through several strategy training programs at IMD

Jari’s family includes his wife, four children, and a Labrador retriever named Donna. Coincidentally, his hobbies are also related to nature and the forest. Summers are spent at the cottage and mountain biking, while winters are dedicated to cross-country skiing.
