Heli joined Valor in April 2026. Prior to Valor, she served as CEO of Chempolis, a biorefining technology company. She is particularly interested in building growth and tackling systemic challenges.
Expertice
Heli has worked in the energy and bioindustry sectors in a variety of roles: as a researcher, consultant, in R&D and innovation, on boards, and in executive management. In all these roles, a key element has been understanding the future—how markets, regulation, and technology evolve—and using that understanding to support business decision-making.
Education
Heli holds a Doctor of Science (Technology) degree in Control Engineering from Tampere University of Technology. In addition, she has completed studies related to leadership and most recently earned the Finnish Chamber of Commerce’s Certified Board Member (HHJ) qualification.
Outside the Office
Heli’s hobbies are very down-to-earth: gardening at home and spending time at her island cottage. Her greatest joy comes from spending time with her children, their spouses, and especially her three grandchildren
